Not to be confused with Subang Jaya (which is also commonly referred to as Subang) or UEP Subang Jaya, Subang is a township located within Shah Alam. Unlike most of the residential areas within the surrounding townships, there is a high number of residential areas in Subang which caters to those from the lower and middle income bracket.

Some of the amenities located close to Subang includes several golf courses such as the Saujana Golf & Country Club and the Glenmarie Golf & Country Club. Subang is also connected to several major highways and residents here will have an ease of access to their homes and other townships.

Some of the factors that may give buyers pause over purchasing properties in this area is that some of the residential developments are located close to the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport which caters mostly to local or short distance flights, which some may fear might be a cause of sound pollution with the comings and goings of the planes.
