Jalan Ampang is a bustling hub of both residential and business areas, being located within KLCC. It is one of the original developments in Kuala Lumpur, being a tin mining town in 50s. However, in modern times being able to live in Ampang is considered to be a status symbol, as it is where all the ambassadors stay close to the embassies.

Already a concrete jungle, development on Jalan Ampang is still rampant with many developers vying for space to build their developments as profit is almost guaranteed from any property development that takes place in the area.

As such, Jalan Ampang is a favorite of property investors as prices of homes here have never failed before no matter the economy. Those who reside here are from all walks of lives, with the majority of the populace being Malays, followed by the Chinese. Indians form a small number of the community, along with both the expats and the migrants.

Night life at Jalan Ampang is fairly exciting being close to the city centre, with all forms of entertainment nearby such as high-end shopping malls, clubs, pubs and dance clubs.
