Bandar Seri Alam is a township developed in Pasir Gudang, Johor. Projects in the township are divided into residential and commercial precincts: the freehold Opal Residenz with 26 double-storey semi-detached houses and 148 double-storey cluster residences, the Imperial Jade double and triple-storey terrace houses, Emerald Residenz, consisting of 2-storey terrace houses, and the business and retail centre of Fortuna Hub Premier, which features 4-storey units.

With the multitude of educational facilities available in Bandar Seri Alam, the township is known as the City of Knowledge. There are at least eight primary and secondary schools, ranging from national Malay-medium schools like SMK Bandar Seri Alam, to religious schools like Sekolah Agama Bandar Seri Alam, to the Chinese-medium schools of SJK (C) Nam Heng Baru, to a Tamil-medium primary school.

On top of those mentioned, other educational institutions in Bandar Seri Alam include the Excelsior International School, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), The Japanese School of Johor, Asia Metropolitan University, UniWorld International School, the performing arts institution of Sekolah Seni Malaysia Johor (Malaysia Art School), MARA Junior Science College Johor Bahru and the Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Industrial Technology (UniKL MITEC).

As a result, there is a large population of students in the Bandar Seri Alam, boosting the number of student rentals and amenities in the area. For groceries and basic necessities, residents can visit Tesco Seri Alam and Today’s Market, while for medical emergencies or treatments there is the Regency Specialist Hospital. Residents can also relax and spend time in the outdoors at Taman Seri Alam, a large park surrounding a lake.

Travelling beyond Bandar Seri Alam is convenient, as there is a bus station at the Today’s Market, where one can get to other parts of Johor and Peninsular Malaysia. Johor Bahru is just about 15 minutes away by car, while the Senai International Airport is about 30 to 45 minutes away via Lebuhraya Pasir Gudang and the North-South Expressway (NSE).

Bandar Seri Alam’s connected position drives its population, which has grown to more than 300,000 people in a 10km radius. This will no doubt benefit businesses that have been opened in the township. So, if you’re a potential investor or purchaser looking at commercial properties within the area, Bandar Seri Alam is a good place to examine closer.
