Bukit Bintang is located within the Golden Triangle of Kuala Lumpur (KL). It is where the trendiest of entertainment and commerce mix together, making it a famous destination for locals and tourists. This district is known for hosting the STYLO Fashion Week, an annual international event.

Bustling and energetic, this area is the centre of premium shopping, dining and leisure. Bukit Bintang has been the buzzing heart of commerce since its early days. In the late 19th century, shops were set up by Chinese entrepreneurs along the stretch of Jalan Bukit Bintang. Until today, two-storey shop lots from before World War II still exist in popular roads like Changkat Bukit Bintang and Tengkat Tong Shin.

Bukit Bintang offers luxury property prices due to its location in the city centre. There are many costly high-rise projects here that are catered to international investors and home-owners. These properties are usually great investments for Airbnb or rentals due to Bukit Bintang’s excellent location as a huge tourist hotspot.

In the 1970s, Bukit Bintang earned a reputation as KL’s fashion centre thanks to its retail bargains and great fashion deals. The title still stands until today as malls such as Pavilion and Lot 10, and Starhill Gallery are built to offer luxury brands. These malls also have an impressive range of eateries with Lot 10 housing the best of authentic Japanese food such as Osaka Kitchen Teppanyaki. Other than that, you also have great malls such as Fahrenheit 88, Berjaya Times Square and Sungei Wang Plaza.

Another well-known hotspot is Jalan Alor, a 500-metre food street that is constantly packed with crowds and infused with aromatic smells of mouth-watering skewers and grills. Tourists who visit this place can have a good insight into Malaysia’s rich culture as hawkers and street vendors hustle about among brightly lit stalls selling a wide variety of local food.

Bukit Bintang enjoys good connectivity via Jalan Raja Chulan, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Jalan Imbi, Jalan Tun Razak, the AKLEH Highway, Jalan Maharajalela Highway and North-South Highway. The highways connect to other main areas including Kuala Lumpur City Centre, USJ and Bandar Sunway. The public transport network here is excellent with many options. You can access the area via the Bukit Bintang Monorail Station, Imbi Monorail Station and Raja Chulan Monorail Station. Moreover, the Bukit Bintang MRT station is near the malls, making it easier for shoppers to travel. You can also ride the many available buses and taxis in the area.

Bukit Bintang is an excellent investment choice if you wish to do Airbnb and rentals. For homebuyers looking to settle down, this area is perfect for you if you love a happening city that provides a luxurious lifestyle filled with the latest fashion and food trends.
