Danga Bay, also known as the Danga Bay Integrated Waterfront City, is located in Iskandar Malaysia, a mere 7km from the Johor Bahru city centre. Stretching 450-acres of land boasting 25km of scenic views by the Straits of Johor. Danga Bay is the southern state’s forerunner in waterfront development, which was first earmarked for development given its strategic location between the Port of Tanjung Pelepas and the International Deep Sea Port Pasir Gudang.

Comprising commercial and residential developments along with its strategic location, the development has seen significant success and remains in high-demand, inspiring a host of other waterside townships and developments in Johor. Future developments are set to bring Danga Bay to new heights, with projects like The River City @ Danga Bay and The Marina @ Danga Bay.

These mega developments which will cost in the hundreds of millions and even billions of Ringgit will be key in making Danga Bay an international destination for foreign investments, and tourism, along with ongoing plans for a financial hub, exhibition and convention centre, marina as well as luxury residences. All these choices of retail outlets, riverside promenades, al-fresco dining, entertainment, accommodation and even water activities will further cement Danga Bay as the go-to place for living, business, leisure and entertainment in Johor.

Apart from that, the ease of accessibility and connectivity also maintains Danga Bay’s appeal to locals and international investors, where the JB Sentral transportation hub and the Johor Immigration Customs, Immigration and Quarantine Complex (CIQ) are just approximately 10 minutes’ drive away via Lebuhraya Sultan Iskandar.

From JB Sentral, other forms of transportation like busses and the Keratapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) service connect to other towns in northern Johor, and even link to other states on the Malaysian peninsula. At the town of Gemas, the KTM line branches out, with one heading towards the Padang Besar town, Perlis, which borders Thailand. The other goes to the east coast, ending at Tumpat, Kelantan.

About 10 minutes’ drive from Danga Bay is the North-South Expressway (NSE), which extends to the north of the peninsula. Danga Bay is also a popular choice for international businesses, given its proximity to both Singapore and the Senai International Airport, just 30 minutes’ drive away.
