Great times were had all around as Tropicana Corporation Berhad (“Tropicana”) hosted a successful 3km Beach Fun Run at Tropicana Cenang, Langkawi, continuing the momentum of its popular Tropicana go-go-FIT campaign. The event saw more than 200 enthusiastic local and international participants descend on the signature development’s vibrant beachfront for a day of fun in the sun, with exciting activities such as a fun run, mini kite-flying and a chime workshop along with health & diet checks for the community to enjoy and learn from.

The revels began with a bracing set of morning warm-up exercises at the Tropicana Cenang Property Gallery, followed by shouts and cheers from the crowd as the fun run kicked off. The lively event showcased the development’s picturesque sands on Langkawi’s most popular Pantai Cenang beachfront. Joanne Lee, Senior Managing Director of Marketing & Sales, Tropicana shared more on the effort.

At the same time, we wanted the public to enjoy and explore the beautiful views here at Tropicana Cenang, part of our signature Tropicana Journey collection of holiday homes. Supporting the Group’s ongoing and successful Tropicana go-go-FIT campaign, we complemented the fun run with a holistic series of wellness activities, as we continue Redefining the Art of Healthy Living in all we do. Looking at its resounding success, we are deeply appreciative of the support shown by the tourists and Langkawi community for this event that saw young and old alike joining in the fun,” she enthused.

Wellness activities at the fun run included body mass index (“BMI”) assessments as well as diet and spine checks for knowledge sharing, along with lots of healthy food and beverages to beat the heat. Organised in collaboration with regional running app JomRun with Ultron as the official apparel partner, the event rewarded participants with lots of goodies, ranging from an Ultron Superlite event jersey, mini kite, race bib and participation e-certificate to finisher medals for those eligible.

The first 100 participants also received 1,000 T Privilege points in the Tropicana 360 mobile app, redeemable for lifestyle rewards with T Privilege’s range of merchant partners. These include fashion, dining, fitness, home & living brands and more at Tropicana Gardens Mall, Tropicana Golf & Country Resort, Courtyard by Marriott Penang and W Kuala Lumpur. Launched in June 2022, T Privilege is Tropicana’s new property loyalty programme, with five tiers of membership for purchasers and the public.

As the venue for the 3km Beach Fun Run, the 5.28 acres Tropicana Cenang leverages on the natural pull factors of Langkawi, including its status as a UNESCO Global Geopark and projected tourism footfall of 4 million annually.
