The nation's frontliners have been working tirelessly to curb the spread since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Glomac continues to show its appreciation to these heroes by contributing food packs to the doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers, as well as police personnel.

Glomac Chief Operating Officer (Operations), Encik Zulkifly Garib said Glomac recently showed its support by making available over 3,000 food packs consisting of energy bars and drinks, bread loaves and fruits.

The food packs were delivered to 14 locations of hospitals and district police headquarters (IPD). Glomac started delivering to Hospital Putrajaya on 29 July 2021 and more were distributed in the following weeks to hospitals across the Klang Valley, Selangor and Johor. Amongst these are Hospital Sungai Buloh, Hospital Serdang, National Cancer Institute, Assunta Hospital, Hospital Temenggong Seri Maharaja Tun Ibrahim, University of Malaya Medical Centre, Hospital Kota Tinggi, Hospital UiTM as well as to IPDs in Sungai Buloh, Shah Alam, Kulai and Brickfields.

“We hope this small but meaningful gesture will go a long way towards encouraging our frontliners to persevere in their dedication. To all others, do our part in helping to stop the spread of this pandemic by staying at home, staying safe and complying to the set standard operating procedures (SOP) of the Movement Control Order (MCO) and National Recovery Plan (NRP),” Encik Zulkifly Garib added.

Assisting people in need and showing support to other's noble effort are part of Glomac’s continuous Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts. Just recently, Glomac has also contributed RM10,000 towards assisting some 8,200 needy households in the Layang-Layang district of Johor which were badly affected by the Covid-19 nationwide lockdown with basic food necessities.
