Taman Air Tawar Indah is a neighbourhood on the Penang Mainland, sandwiched between two main roads in Butterworth – Jalan Padang Benggali and Jalan Teluk Air Tawar. While it is situated quite a distance from the Penang Sentral ferry, train and bus terminal – about 16km on a non-toll road – the neighbourhood is ideal for those working in the northern part of Butterworth.

It consists mainly of several residential developments such as Pangsapuri Indah, a 12-storey freehold apartment complex with 24-hour security and parking bays along Lorong Teluk Air Tawar 6, and Rumah Pangsa Taman Air Tawar Indah, a 5-storey walk-up flat along Lorong Teluk Air Tawar 7, as well as terrace houses, commercial properties and shop offices.

Due to their position along the main roads, the shop lots enjoy considerably good visibility from pedestrians, drivers and passengers passing by. The neighbourhood can be reached via at least 4 buses – Rapid Penang 601, 603, 605 and 608.

Facilities within the bounds of Taman Air Tawar Indah include food courts, mini marts, multipurpose halls and the Kolej Komuniti Tasek Gelugor (KKTG), a public educational institution that offers a full-time pastry certificate course in addition to other short courses for SPM graduates and the general public.

Younger students, on the other hand, can attend schools like SJK (C) Aik Keow, SK Telok Ayer Tawar, SMK Telok Air Tawar, SK Permatang Binjai, SK Seri Gemilang and SMK Gemilang, all situated within a 2km radius from Taman Air Tawar Indah.
