168 Park Selayang, the maiden mixed-development in Selayang, has revealed Village Grocer as the anchor tenant for its community mall at their signing ceremony held at the 168 Park Selayang Sales Gallery recently. Village Grocer will occupy 20,558 sqft of the 235,000 sqft lettable area in the mall and is set to elevate the lifestyle element of Selayang.

168 Park Selayang is a white knight development project located along Jalan Kuching in Selayang. Its focus is to bring the perfect balance between an urban lifestyle, business and leisure to the neighbourhood and promote community growth through the mix of tenants in the community mall and a range of amenities. With a target opening in Q3 2024, the two-storey community mall will be a highly anticipated landmark for the Selayang community to shop, eat and enjoy their leisure time. The community mall offers an array of 118 commercial units available for lease, with 60% of it aimed at the food and beverage sector.

Ivan Tan, Group Executive Director of Village Grocer said, “We are proud to be part of 168 Park Selayang’s community mall and we are committed to serving the Selayang community with high-quality products. What particularly drew us to 168 Park Selayang was its strategic proximity to Kuala Lumpur city centre and the project is becoming Selayang’s most significant development. When we were presented with the community mall’s design which incorporates an extensive resort-like facility within the building, we were genuinely impressed. This design offers Village Grocer’s customers to not just do their grocery shopping but to have a comprehensive experience, allowing them to dine and unwind with the diverse range of shops available at 168 Park Selayang.”

Lum added, “In the next month, we will also be announcing prominent and international brands that will be part of the 168 Park Selayang community mall.”

This development comprises three high-rise residential properties with various optimised layouts to choose from. During the signing ceremony, 168 Park Selayang announced the soft launch of Block B. Block B is set to be a significant landmark in Selayang, a skyscraper with 49 floors, making it the tallest building in Selayang. As of July 2023, over 90% of Block A’s 477 units have been sold, while Block C is fully sold out.
