Ukay Heights is an upmarket neighbourhood in Ampang, which consists of landed and high rise properties. The high rise properties in this area include that of Ukay Bayu, Puncak Ukay and Dataran Ukay. A majority of the residents in Ukay Heights include high-level executives and expatriates who prefer this area because of its prime location, peace and quiet and surrounded by lush greenery. In spite of its favourable position, there is a huge Chinese cemetery situated between Ukay Heights and the International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL), hence it is not a wonderful sight for residents living in the landed units. There was also a strange occurrence where thousands of undelivered mail were dumped in the leafy Ukay Heights ravine in 2013. Apparently, it had been a dumping ground for irresponsible postmen to get rid of mail they did not deliver. There were also concerns from residents regarding the soil in the Ukay Heights area as it is apparently unstable and not safe for living due to a series of landslides that occurred nearby. In 1993, one of the blocks in Highland Towers collapsed and resulted in a loss of 48 lives, while in 2002, a bungalow collapsed in Taman Hillview, and in 2006, and 2008, landslides occurred in Kampung Pasir and Bukit Antarabangsa respectively.
