Jalan Bangsar is a long stretch of road that starts from the New Pantai Expressway (NPE) Bangsar exit to Jalan Travers. This stretch of road houses properties of new and old, and household names Bangsar natives have learned to love over the years. Jalan Bangsar has mostly commercial centres running through it, accompanied by residential projects. The exits from Jalan Bangsar also connect to Jalan Riong and Jalan Maarof, which lead to amenities like the News Straits Times office, as well as Bangsar Village and Bangsar Shopping Centre (BSC), where most socialites flock to today. Jalan Bangsar, being the main road leading into the city of Bangsar, means there are a huge number of nearby amenities. One of Kuala Lumpur’s famous shopping centres, Mid Valley Megamall is located just off the exit of Jalan Bangsar. Within Mid Valley City, there is also the Gardens Mall and a hotel, as well as Northpoint, an office building. Jalan Bangsar is also within a short driving distance of the Kuala Lumpur city centre. Since the road is the main stretch leading into the city and many offices, there is bound to be a heavy stream of traffic most of the time. However, that can be countered thanks to the presence of public transportation, which is abundant in the area. Jalan Bangsar can be reached via the Light Rail Transit (LRT), and there are two stations within the stretch, which is the Abdullah Hukum and Bank Rakyat Bangsar station. The two stations sit on both ends of Jalan Bangsar. Jalan Bangsar's easiest access is via the NPE. With the NPE, one can access the Sprint Expressway and Federal Highway, leading to other townships like Hartamas and Petaling Jaya.
