Tanjung Tokong Apartment Phase 4, also known as Pangsapuri Tanjung Tokong Fasa 4, is an apartment located in the Tanjung Tokong township of Penang, as its name indicates. Although the freehold property might not have facilities other than 24-hour security and parking, its facade is relatively well maintained, and it has an extremely convenient position.
To begin with, just opposite the Tanjung Tokong Apartment Phase 4 is a police station, increasing the level of security in the area. Also, the apartment complex is within walking distance of two mosques, a temple, food stalls, a Roman Catholic seminary, two schools – SK Tanjong Tokong and SJK (C) Hun Bin – without the need for residents to traverse the wide, busy main road of Jalan Tanjong Tokong, where Rapid Penang buses 101, 102 and 103 pass through.
Nevertheless, crossing this road gives residents access to even more amenities, such as clinics, a post office, hawker food court, auto servicing and accessories shops, the Wind Surfing Club and the Chinese Swimming Club. Opposite SK Tanjong Tokong is the Seri Tanjung Pinang neighbourhood, notably home to Tesco Seri Tanjung Pinang and the Straits Quay retail and marina complex.
Some other nearby facilities include the Tenby International School and the Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (Penang Campus) in the adjacent suburb of Tanjung Bungah, and the Adventist Medical Centre and Penang Adventist Hospital in Georgetown. From the Tanjung Tokong Apartment Phase 4, residents can also get to the Gurney Drive area within about 10 minutes.
The surroundings of Tanjung Tokong have developed vastly since its days as a fishing village. This, along with its equal distance to the bustling city centre of Georgetown and the seaside tourist destination of Batu Feringghi, have resulted in the residents’ rising standards of living as well as the rising value of the properties here.
