Sarawak, also known as the land of the hornbills, is located on the island of Borneo. It is bordered by Sabah to the northeast; Indonesia to the south; and the country of Brunei at the north.

Its capital city is Kuching, where the economic centre of the state and seat of the Sarawak state government are located. Other major towns of it are Miri, Sibu and Bintulu, to name a few.

Some of the leading industries that are driving the state’s economy include agriculture, forestry, and tourism, of which Gunung Mulu National Park and the Rainforest World Music Festival are some the states' major attractions.

As for the population of Sarawak, it consists of many tribal groups such as Dayak, Iban, Bidayuh, Melanau and Orang Ulu, among many. Many of these tribal people still live in longhouses, which is also a trademark for Sarawak.

When it comes to property investment, the state has many commercial developments such as shop-office lots, office blocks, retail space and industrial lots. Same goes for the residential developments like terrace houses, semi-detached houses, bungalows, apartments and condominiums. Other than that, pieces of lands can also be found sold here.

Based on the local daily, it is said that there are strong demands for residences selling below RM350,000 per unit. Although the market here is stagnant due to the mismatch situation of market and demand, it is predicted that the prices of properties in Sarawak will appreciate.
