PW Sunrise Sdn. Bhd. is originally established as a company involves in gold ornamental work and its production caters mainly for local market by Tan family since year 1970s. In the earlier year 1990s the company ventured into property investment by acquiring potential development land as land bank and subsequently formed Metro Jelata Sdn. Bhd. as its subsidiary company in year 1996.

It has since year 2005 ceased operation in gold business and now mainly involves in property investment as a holding company.

The group's main principal activities are in property investment, housing development, building construction and properties management.

The same management team of the group has been involved in housing development since year 1999 and has since completed various housing projects in Province Wellesley in the State of Penang, Malaysia.
