描述

Impian Seri Setia of Petaling Jaya is a low cost apartment located just off the busy Federal Highway. Centrally located as it is, there have been many complaints in the past of foreigners who flooded this apartment with their presence, where residents complained that the playground was littered with what looked like condoms.

The density of the apartment was also said to increase drastically where as many as 15 people shared a single unit. The residents had then made many complaints to the MCA Selangor Public Complaints Bureau to better the situation, but the then JMB said that the issues arose from the residents themselves as allegedly half of the units at Impian Seri Setia were being rented out to foreigners by the owners themselves.

Parking lots are also insufficient, which the old JMB said the original selling price was only RM5,500 per lot which residents are now selling for up to RM10,000 per lot. Also to the issue of maintenance fees which residents insisted they were being overcharged, the JMB said that RM66 for the 633 sf and RM75 for for the 743 sf units are extremely reasonable.

The maintenance of the apartment was handed over to the residents’ own JMB thereafter in March 2012, of which the rather peeved old management body said that the residents could handle the rate of their own maintenance fees from then on.
