Kondo Berjaya may be one of the earliest condominium residences to be built in the neighbourhood of Pulau Tikus, Penang. The single block stands at 8 storeys tall, and was completed in 1990, housing 42 units.
The homes of Kondo Berjaya are spacious to say the least, with built-up sizes ranging between 1,475 sf to 1,600 sf. All units offer a 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms layout, while facilities are minimal but ample. These include a covered car park, squash court, and landscaped garden, as well as 24-hour security.
The freehold units of Kondo Berjaya are spacious an the property well-maintained, which contribute to its rather high value on the subsale market, at RM1.03 million. Rental for the homes are also considerably high, at RM1,800 a month.
Its location close to amenities may also be another reason for their high prices, where Jalan Burma is not too far off. With that, plenty of amenities are just a minute’s drive away along Jalan Burma, where hawker centres, eateries, restaurants, clinics, banks, convenience stores and much more can be found. Malls nearby include Island Plaza, Gurney Paragon and Gurney Plaza, while schools are also aplenty, including SK Jalan Residensi, SMK Westlands, SMK Convent Pulau Tikus and St. Christopher’s International School. Island Hospital, the Gleneagles Penang Medical Centre, and the Loh Guan Lye Specialist Centre are also just a short drive away.
Kondo Berjaya is also accessible to and from the city centre and other part of the island via the many roads and lanes nearby. The city centre of Georgetown can be reached via Jalan Burma westwards, while in the other direction is Jalan Tanjung Tokong (to Batu Ferringhi), and Gurney Drive. Weld Quay and the Tun Dr. Lim Chong Eu Expressway are also accessible from the property via Jalan Macalister nearby, where the first Penang bridge and Bayan Lepas are down south the route.
