Due to the extensive network of roads and lanes within the neighbourhood, Kota Emas enjoys convenient access to other parts of town, the city and the island. Jalan Perak and Jalan Sungai Pinang nearby connect straight to Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, which leads to Georgetown up north, the first Penang bridge, as well as the town of Bayan Lepas down south. Up Jalan Perak is also Jalan Burma, near Gurney Drive.

Given its location, Kota Emas is understandably, coveted by those who work in the city as well as Bayan Lepas, looking for decent and affordable homes. Units for sale on the market can be found at prices beginning from RM338,000, while rental is about RM750 per month.
