Plaza Masalam (also known as Plaza Shah Alam) in Section 9, Shah Alam, is a leasehold integrated office and retail hub. Located along Jalan Tengku Ampuan Zabedah, Plaza Masalam neighbours other prominent commercial developments such as Menara UBSA, Plaza Azalea and Pusay Dagangan Shah Alam.
Plaza Masalam is made up of two components. Its office tower which is called Plaza Masalam sits atop a shopping mall and retail podium called Plaza Shah Alam. Long established for decades, Plaza Masalam is a popular landmark for the locals.
Surrounded by numerous other commercial areas that house banks, government offices, service centres, retail outlets, and more, Plaza Masalam is a good spot for businesses due to the amenities one can conveniently find within the area.
Nestled within the well-developed Shah Alam city, Plaza Masalam is easily accessible via a network of major highways, namely Federal Highway, New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS), Guthrie Corridor Expressway (GCE), North-South Expressway Central Link (ELITE) and Kemuning-Shah Alam Highway (LKSA).
The Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and KLIA 2 located 30 km south of the city serves international and local flights and are connected via the ELITE Highway. The Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang that can be accessed via the Federal Highway also offers domestic and short to medium-haul international flights.
This property is also known for being the place of death of the aide of a Selangor state executive councillor. His body was discovered on the fifth floor of the building, where he allegedly fell from the 14th floor. The infamous case is still under investigation as of October 2020.
Nonetheless, Plaza Masalam remains as one of the most frequented commercial hub consisting of a plethora of fashion, F&B, services, lifestyle and hobby outlets, as well as offices.
