Taman Juru is a township development in Simpang Ampat, Penang which has been established years ago. The commercial component of the township includes shop offices while the residential properties there are varied, with landed homes and apartment residences.
Real estate within Taman Juru are all built over freehold land, with sizeable terraces and semi-detacheds all 2 storeys in heights. The apartment residence is made up of several blocks, each 5 storeys in height. The homes at Taman Juru are mid-range, with most of the homes being occupied by families.
The commercial lots house shops on the ground floor and offices on the first, where a range of convenience stores and mini markets can be found. They provide residents with access to simple conveniences. Most of the office units on the other hand, are occupied by industrial businesses.
Commercial and residential properties within Taman Juru begin from sizes of at least 1,600 sf and are priced within the middle range, starting from RM433,000. Rental is also on the average, at roughly RM700 a month.
Though the commercial lots provide some amenities to residents within Taman Juru, more conveniences can be found at the nearby AEON BiG Bukit Minyak as well as along Jalan Juru and Jalan Permatang Tinggi nearby, where petrol stations, food courts, eateries, cafes, pharmacies, clinics and more can be found. Given that the Simpang Ampat area is mostly industrial, there are few schools around. The nearest schools to the neighbourhood are SJK (C) True Light, and SMK Permai Indah, while more can be found in the Bukit Mertajam town not too far off.
The town of Bukit Mertajam is about 15 minutes north via Jalan Bukit Tengah, while Seberang Perai and the first Penang bridge are just a little further up. In the opposite direction, Jalan Permatang Tinggi leads to the town of Batu Kawan as well as access to the North-South Expressway (NSE) and the second Penang bridge.
